All That Remains - The Air That I Breathe
This is one of my favorite ATR songs. It took me quite some time to transcribe the middle solo, and I think this tab is much more accurate than anything I’ve seen on the internet. This one got rejected multiple times when I tried to submit it to Ultimate-Guitar. Oh well, I guess they’re happy with the crap that’s up there right now.

All That Remains - Not Alone
I finished this tab a while ago, but it took me a while to finally record it for YouTube. The solo was very difficult for me as it involves some strange tapping and sliding combinations, but I finally got it down. Thanks to Musicman1066 for checking the tab in its early stages and filling in some of the higher harmony parts. Note: I did not check the high harmony parts (left guitar) carefully for playability, i.e. the notes are right but there may be easier finger positioning. I played the low harmony parts (left guitar) for the video. Also, the solo involves two guitars that sometimes overlap—these are labeled Solo A and Solo B.

All That Remains - Six
Benzie101 made an excellent tab for this song and posted it on Ultimate-Guitar (link). I used his tab as a starting point, and then made the modifications based on the way I play it in my cover video. There are some minor differences in the main riffs, but most of the changes were made to the interlude and solo. Note that in the video I am playing a combination of guitar parts 1 and 2.

As I Lay Dying - The Sound of Truth
I started with terryn0’s version from Ultimate-Guitar, but I made many changes based on the way I transcribed it. I played a combination of the two guitar parts for the video.

Killswitch Engage - Rose of Sharyn
There was actually a very good tab for this song available on Ultimate-Guitar, which was authored by Lc5 and Piotras. I made some revisions based on the way I played it for the video. Note that “guitar 2” is exactly what I’m playing in the video.

The Human Abstract - Polaris
I am particularly proud of my work on this song. Pretty much all of The Human Abstract tabs that you will find on the internet are taken directly from their MySpace site! So really, nobody has attempted to tab any of their other songs. I chose to do “Polaris” mainly because it’s one of their easier songs. Much of their stuff is way too difficult for me. This tab was accepted by Ultimate-Guitar, but I have since made some corrections.

Trivium - Like Light to Flies
After I transcribed this by ear, I looked on Ultimate-Guitar to see if there was already some accurate tab for the song. It turns out that one of the Guitar Pro files up there is actually pretty accurate. I used this Guitar Pro file (submitted by an unregistered user) as a starting point, and I made modifications to the tab based on the way I transcribed it. Some of the main riffs have slight differences, and the solo is significantly different. I’m not saying that my version is 100% accurate—it’s just the way I learned to play it for the video.

Trivium - Ascendancy
Guitar Pro was giving me all kinds of trouble when I tried to make the tab for this song. Anyhow, musicman1066 helped me out by making his own tab and providing it to me. I made some minor modifications based on the way I’m playing some parts in the video. However, it should be noted that his transcription of the solo and breakdown parts is more accurate than how I played them in the video, so I didn’t change those in the tab.

Trivium - Dying in Your Arms
There was a pretty accurate tab for this song on Ultimate-Guitar that I used as a starting point. It was submitted by the user named MAT__ and can be found here. However, I did make several changes to the tab based on the way I transcribed it. The main chorus riff and solo parts are somewhat different. Also, it should be noted that the way I played the chorus part in the video is not 100% correct. As musicman1066 pointed out, I was hitting the lower octave of a note when I should have been hitting the higher octave. This correction has been made in the tab.

Again, I used a tab from Ultimate-Guitar as the starting point for the Guitar Pro file; however, I made several changes, some of them significant.

Bullet for My Valentine - Room 409
Musicman1066 made a nice tab for this song that’s available on Ultimate-Guitar. There are some differences in the way we transcribed the song, so I used his tab as a starting point and made modifications based on the way I played it in the video. I think the solo is easier to play the way I transcribed it, and there are some minor differences in some of the main riffs.

Bullet for My Valentine - Hand of Blood
This is one of the first few songs I did for YouTube, so I wasn’t meticulous about the transcription. I’ve since made some corrections to the tab, so you will notice that it is different than how I played it in the video. Most noticeably, the intro riff should pedal off the open 4th string instead of the 6th string (a difference of one octave). The higher notes were played on the 5th string in the video, but are most easily played on the 4th string when pedaling off it (they are the same notes both ways). I’m still unsure about the fast part of the solo. I’ve had some discussions with musicman1066 and he seems to think it is tapped. He may be right, but I haven’t taken the time to try to nail the solo down.

Bullet for My Valentine - All These Things I Hate
This was a relatively easy song to transcribe once I figured out the correct time signature. There is no guitar solo in the song, and the rhythms are pretty simple. The toughest part about making this Guitar Pro tab was getting the acoustic intro to sound right with the odd strumming pattern. It still doesn’t sound perfect, but it’s lot closer than I’ve heard from any other Guitar Pro tab.

Bullet for My Valentine - Tears Don’t Fall
I really don’t have the motivation to go back and transcribe this one, so I’m going to defer to my friend Musicman1066. He does a great job of playing and transcribing songs and often finds mistakes in mine. :-p You can find this song on his tabulature page:

Metallica - Master of Puppets (Middle Section only)
There are several fairly accurate transcriptions of this song on the internet. However, there are some differences in the way I play some of the parts, including the solos. I started with one of the versions from Ultimate-Guitar and made the appropriate changes. Please note that it’s difficult to make a transcription that captures all of the minor details of the solo, so the tab may not exactly match what I’m playing in the video.

Parkway Drive - Five Months
I transcribed this song entirely by ear, but I modified an existing Guitar Pro tab (originally authored by Liam Mansfield) from U-G to saved some time. Special thanks go to musicman1066 for his help in correctly some mistakes in my initial transcription. Note that I am playing the “Left Guitar” rhythm part in the video.

Parkway Drive - Idols and Anchors
I transcribed this song entirely by ear, and again I modified an existing Guitar Pro tab (originally authored by bassman213293) from U-G to saved some time. Note that will be playing a combination of all the guitar parts in the video, but I think it should be easy to figure out.

This song was also transcribed by ear, and musicman1066 was kind enough to send me a great tab, which saved me a lot of time! I did make some changes based on my transcription though. I don’t think I’m going to post the .pdf files anymore—it’s too much of a pain! Download TuxGuitar if you don’t have Guitar Pro.
